Admissions
Admissions to Foundation Stage 2
Parents wishing to send their children to Poulton Lancelyn should complete the Wirral Authority Primary School Application Form (available after 1st September) and return it to the Education and Cultural Services Department by the middle of January to ensure the allocation of a place.
Children are admitted full-time in September. In the summer term, before they begin school, parents are invited to a welcome session for all children and their parents/carers to meet the Headteacher and Foundation Stage staff.
We have open days in Autumn Term for parents to visit school. Please check our calendar for further details or contact the school office on 0151 334 5021. Our Prospective Parent Powerpoint can be found below.
Please use the link below to register and apply online for a school place for your child.
Admission to other year groups
Parents wishing to send their children to any other year group should make an appointment to see a member of the Senior Leadership Team.
F1/Nursery Admissions 2024/45
Application packs for September 2025 F1/nursery places can be collected from the school office. Applications should be returned to the school office by January 31st 2025. Applications received after this date will be considered late. The school admissions policy will be used to determine place allocations.
Pupils already attending school in the nursery room will automatically continue in F1.
PLEASE NOTE
If your child attends F1, this does not automatically grant them a place in F2. An application to the Local Authority must still be completed.
Secondary School Admissions
Our Year 6 children go on to attend a range of schools across Wirral and Cheshire. All secondary schools hold open evenings/sessions for children to experience what the school would be like to attend. We strongly recommend pupils in Year 5 participate in these sessions.
Secondary school staff also meet Poulton Lancelyn pupils during the Summer term and to gather transition information from the teachers so that they have a smooth and supporting start to their secondary education.
